Thomas J. Callanan, CPCU, AU, Partner - President, Property & Casualty Insurance
After earning a B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Albany, Tom began his insurance career in 1987. He worked as a multi-line commercial underwriter with several insurance companies including CNA, Safeco, Utica and Kemper, before joining Waldman Bros in 1998. Since joining Waldman Bros, he has managed the Commercial Insurance division and in 2008 his management role expanded to include Waldman Bros’ Personal Insurance division as well. Tom also oversees and cultivates strong relationships with Waldman Bros’ property and casualty insurance carriers.
Tom holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Underwriting insurance designations.
Most of Tom’s personal activities focus around his family and Prestonwood Baptist Church where he is a deacon. He also teaches a weekly Saturday evening Bible fellowship class.
